Diplo really wants a Jack Ü meeting

There’s no doubt that one of the biggest supergroups in all of EDM has been the merger of Diploma and Skrillex to form Jack Ü. They not only captured the radio airwaves, but the hearts of both their fans when they released their GRAMMY award-winning album, Skrillex and Diplo present: Jack Ü.

It’s been over half a decade since then, however, and with both artists focusing on their own music, a reunion didn’t seem likely. It’s also clear, however, that one of the two is more motivated to bring Jack Ü back. In an acknowledgment that the album turned seven this weekend, Diplo posted an Instagram story with the caption, “Pray for more jack ü”, along with a bunch of praying hands emojis.

This isn’t the first time Diplo has asked for a Jack Ü meeting. In 2019, he posted a video of himself playing a remix of “Where Are Ü Now” with the caption, “Comment a 🙌 if we need to release some more jack ü.” The following year, in an interview with rolling stone, Diplo said that new Jack Ü music could arrive as soon as “next year”, after Skrillex released his solo work he was busy with. To date, however, Skrillex has yet to unveil its long-awaited 2013 follow-up. Break.

While Diplo and Skrillex fans would surely welcome a Jack Ü reunion, it will take more than calls from Diplo to truly reestablish the pair.
